Threadfin is popular amongst mummies and babies as it is believed to have high nutrients to boost supply for breastfeeding and also good for brain development of the child. The fish have high levels of Omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins. It is also high in protein, calcium and phosphorus, which help strengthen the bone and teeth.

Health Benefits: Threadfin contains many important nutrients which include high-quality protein and various vitamins and minerals such as Omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin D. Omega-3 fatty acids are essential for brain and eye development.

Texture & Taste: Threadfin meat is tender and texture is smooth. As it is white fish, the meat is considered to be sweet, mild and slightly moist.

Cooking Methods: Threadfin is best eaten steamed, in soup or in porridge. It is usually not recommended to fry the fish as its meat is very fine and flaky and may come apart easily when frying.
