The Rabbitfish is very popular and commonly eaten during the CNY as it is believed that eating the rabbit fish when its stomach is full of roe or milt is a sign of good luck and prosperity. The fish is usually served steamed with ginger and soy sauce along with hua tiao wine. Fresh Rabbitfish is usually white, tender, moist and sweet. The stomach region can be slightly bitter which is an acquired taste.
Note:
* The weight range is before any descaling, de-gutting and cleaning of fish.
* Each set may come in around 5-7 pieces depending on the sizes of the daily catch.
